MLA+ designs new quarter in the industrial belt of St. Petersburg
Glorax development has announced plans for the 100ha regeneration masterplan in the industrial Grey belt of St.Petersburg. The new place is called Ligovsky City and is to become the complex and diverse neighborhood, bordering historical Ligovsky Prospekt.
Next to new residential and commercial functions the project features large public open spaces – parks, squares and streets for all modes of transport. In the near future, a new metro station will significantly improve the reachability of the place and allow quick access to St. Petersburg’s historic and commercial center.
The project takes the principles for the regeneration of the vast industrial areas of St. Petersburg that MLA+ developed in a masterplanning competition held in 2016 to the next level of detail. MLA+ in close cooperation with city and developer has been working on an urban planning concept and architectural strategy of the project. In the coming years, the project will be implemented in several phases.
We are looking forward to the exciting implementation!
