MLA+ has been awarded for its business model

MLA+ and its sister comapny MaccreanorLavington Architects have been awarded the AJ100 International Business Breakthrough of the Year awardMLA+ was set up in 2012 to focus on sustainable urban design and architecture in emerging markets.

MaccreanorLavington:MLA+ now has an overall staff of 120 and offices in locations including Russia, China and South America.‘How established practices are responding to a volatile world is a measure of their resilience and success,’ said the judges.

‘MaccreanorLavington:MLA+’s approach goes above and beyond being a good business. The model’s emerging success is an innovative way of growing and of building resilience. It bridges the gap between large and small practices, and is a way of infiltrating markets while limiting risk and getting international expertise.
‘This is a great success to us and a recognition for the business model we have been developing in recent years. We will keep expanding and refining it continuously to even better meet the challenges in different parts of the world and to even better serve our clients.’ says Markus Appenzeller, managing director of MLA+.
The award was presented at a ceremony in the Tower of London last week.
