First pile! Groundworks commenced on our housing scheme Vrijenburg Housing Block in Barendrecht, the Netherlands, which comprises 30 townhouses around a communal courtyard.
The last puzzle piece, Vrijenburg Housing Block, ensemble of 30 houses is the latest project of the “burchten” Carnisselande. The aim of the housing block is to create an ensemble that presents itself as one entity in the green area with a good balance between collectively an individuality. To enforce this urban identity, the block is increased in relation to the ground level.
We complete the concept design in 2016, and then kept developing through 2017. A few weeks ago, the project officially began construction. We are very excited and look forward to seeing the results.
