Documentary about the UN Habitat Labs involving MLA+shows a new approach to collaborative planning

Last year MLA+ has been one of the contributors of the UN Habitat Labs. Working with Fabric, More Architecture, OKRA and Mixst Urbanism, the lab that looked at the planned extension of Ghana’s capital Accra has successfully accomplished a framework plan that forms the statutory base of the future development of the area of Ningo Prampram.

Throughout the work, the UN Habitat Labs have been followed by MEDIAHQ. A documentary of the work in Ghana and of the other labs in Mexico, Palestine, the Philippines and Myanmar has just been published.

MLA+ together with the other members of the Ghana lab will continue their engagement and support the local authorities and stakeholders to implement and refine the plan towards a new quality urban environment in one of the fastest growing regions of the world.

The UN habitat planning and design labs are an initiative of UN Habitat and have been made possible with the support of the Dutch Creative Industries Fund.
