IFLA, the International Federation of Landscape Architects has announced this year’s laureates.

MLA+ has won the Outstanding Award in the ‘Analysis & Masterplanning’ category with its urban design project in the coastal area of Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone.

The landscape improvement project of Shenyan Road and Xiaomeisha Coastal Zone Planning, both in Shenzhen, won Honourable Mentions in the same category.

A big “Thank You” goes to our partners in these projects: Okra Landscape Architects, Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl, Shenzhen IBR and Colliers International!

The winning projects build on experience we have been building in recent years in the development of sustainable urban solutions for a changing world climate. We promote solutions that tackle the problem and use it to create new qualities that cities can develop worldwide.

About IFLA AAPME Awards 2020
IFLA AAPME Awards 2020 – “GLOBAL CALL FOR RESILIENCE” is a global award initiated by IFLA Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East (AAPME) regions.

In 2018, the first AAPME Award – Resilience by Design – was organized by the IFLA Asia Pacific region and co-chaired by the three IFLA regional presidents. It was an international award for landscape design and planning for resilience that was open to all IFLA regions and practitioners around the world for projects within the Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. Following the IFLA declaration of a Climate Change Emergency in 2019 at the IFLA World Council Meeting in Oslo, Norway, the IFLA AAPME Awards 2020 now call for resilience design projects from all parts of the world to be considered for recognition.
