MLA+ selected for two more urban design projects in Foshan and Shenzhen
MLA+ got selected for two more Chinese urban design projects: Foshan Shunde District Urban Design Project and Shenzhen Bay Pedestrian Street Urban Design Competition. Both in cooperation with local Shenzhen firm UPDIS.
The Foshan project is about revitalizing the area along the Ronggui river, in the center of Shunde district. With an area of 220 km2, the task is highly complex and demanding.
Shenzhen Bay Urban Design Competition is located next to the landmark tower of China Resources Headquarter in the Shenzhen Bay Houhai area. The project mainly revolves around multi-level public space design (underground, ground floor and 2nd floor) and the key-site is about 1km long and 40m wide.
The projects show that MLA+ designs at different levels of the city: from large-scale masterplanning to small-scale public space design. In each of our projects we strive to bring together knowledge from all of these layers to find the most integrated design solutions.
First results of the projects are expected in the coming months.
