MLA+ and its team will participate in the Public Space Design Competition for Shenzhen’s Qianhai Bay
MLA+ together with Shenzhen University Architectural Design and Research Institute and Shenzhen Zhidao Landscape Design are one of the seven teams selected for the Competition for the Public Space in Shenzhen’s latest new district, Qianhai.
Qianhai Bay is city quarter in the making and a place where China again tests new ways of international collaboration. In Qianhai special rules will apply intended to better link economic activities with neighboring Hong Kong and overseas. In spatial terms, Qianhai is also embracing new urban planning paradigms, namely mitigating the effects of climate change.
The competition will commence in the coming weeks with results to be expected before the summer.
