MLA+ consortium concludes inspiring 2nd workshop Semarang Indonesia with local stakeholders
Today, the MLA+ consortium is wrapping up the workshop with local stakeholders for the Water as Leverage project in Semarang. MLA+ together with project partners Fabrications, Deltares and Witteveen+Bos used this workshop to identify key places and potential projects around water questions that also can help improving the city.
The Water as Leverage project is part of the Resilient Cities Asia project organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The objective of the project is to develop bankable, innovative and comprehensive proposals for urban water projects for the cities of Chennai (India), Khulna (Bangladesh) and Semarang (Indonesia) to address the urgent water and climate adaption needs.
The MLA+ consortium is working on the city of Semarang, but in December teams from all cities will gather together in Singapore to exchange ideas and main findings.
