MLA+ director Markus Appenzeller takes part in successful New Town Lab workshop Tatu City organized by the International New Town Institute together with developer Rendeavour

Today an intensive workshop week in Tatu City at the outskirts of Nairobi came to an end. MLA+ director Markus Appenzeller was one of the invited experts to contribute to the development of a spatial framework for the New Town in the making.

Tatu City is a 1000ha mixed-use development that will give home to over 150.000 new inhabitants. According to INTI the city is “one of the few planned urban communities in Africa geared towards attracting the rising middle class and new international business.”

MLA+ was honoured to be able to contribute to this truly unique development. Results are expected to be public in the near future.
