A harbour for businesses next to a major airport

Enterprise Harbour

Location: Qingdao, China
Client:
 Qingdao Advances Business Parks (ABP)

Program:
masterplan 100 ha business park incl. residential, hotel and retail facilities

The masterplan for ABP Enterprise Harbour envisions a place that is attractive for businesses and to the city of Qingdao, because it will become a recognizable place where businesses want to be based, it is an environment that motivates businesses and workers to be productive, innovative and successful; it is a place that is fit for the future because its buildings are planned to be truly sustainable: energy efficient, cost effective to maintain and operate and a place where the workforce stays healthy and motivated.
The masterplan works with existing site condition and proposes to create a salt-water ecology landscape. Prestigious businesses addresses are created along the new waterways. Each quarter has a commercial centre that provides for the daily needs but is also a public place of exchange between the people working here. The buildings in the Enterprise Harbour will be a robust architecture, a lifelong “container” designed to be flexible and adaptable.
