Two MLA+ projects in Shenzhen are rapidly taking shape.

Two projects MLA+ has been designing for the Southern Chinese city of Shenzhen are rapidly taking shape:

A library and a welcome center for the newly refurbished Xiangmi Park are about to be completed with the opening of the park scheduled for the beginning of May 2017. Once completed, the buildings will form part of a new leisure and educational offer. Next to an info center and a wedding chapel, Xiangmi Park will feature facilities where visitors can experience how how modern agriculture provides for food, how a more sustainable lifestyle can be pursued and how waste can be reused.

The Liu Xian Dong Shenzhen Village 2.0 will offer a new type of affordable accommodation for temporary population of Shenzhen. Responding to new market demand for affordable housing for highly educated knowledge workers, the project – next to micro housing units – will offer a wide range of facilities for the new types of workers in the rapidly developing knowledge economy of Shenzhen. The project will top out in July this year with completion expected at the end of 2018.
